The Macginitiea wyomingensis is a Sycamore leaf from the Eocene age (48 MYA) in the ancient Lake Unita deposit. This piece exhibits exceptional preservation and color. Note - one of the points on top of the leaf was lost to the opposing matrix and approximately 1" was restored. Otherwise a perfect leaf. Authenticity guaranteed. This leaf comes with a custom made wooden stand and ID plate (see photo). It is ready to display. It is beautifully prepared to give it a sculpted effect with the bottom of the cephalon, thorax, and pygidium are fully exposed. Preparation easily took many dozens of hours to clean this specimen! Incredible detail and completeness. Compound eyes are exceptionally preserved. A Middle Devonian trilobite. All natural - an incredible display piece. Museum quality specimen. The root is incredible - a medium brown, nicely articulated, and complete with no hydration cracks on the display side. One of the finest preserved Megs that I have seen.
