An EXTRA LARGE, GEM Quality, shark vertabra from the Sharktooth Hill area, near Bakersfield, California. A very rare, early Otodus obliquus anterior tooth from Kzil-Orda Region, Kazakhstan. Otodus obliquus is the ancestor to O. auriculatus (see detailed discussion below) which leads to Megalodon. The bourlette is large and complete. Exhibits no serrations. The starting species to serrated Otodus teeth. These teeth exhibit very good color, gloss, and preservation. A rare, early Eocene (Ypresian) Auriculatus transition tooth. A very challenging tooth to find when building a Megalodon evolutionary set! No repair. Authenticity guaranteed. Note - This western Kazakhstan site is one of the few places in the world where the Otodus obliquus to Otodus auriculatus transition can be found in adjacent early Eocene formation units.

A MUSEUM QUALITY group of two Sinosura kelheimensis, a Brittle Star. The largest is 1-3/8" in length. Incredible detail. Excellent preservation and excellent preparation. Matrix size is 4-1/2" x 2". This Brittle star is from Hienheim, Bavaria, Germany. Upper Jurassic (Lower Tithonian). Rare! A top quality collector's piece.

An EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Struthiomimus altus upper toe bone or metatarsal from the late Cretaceous of North America. Struthiomimus is a long legged, bipedal, toothless dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. The Struthiomimus means "ostrich mimic" which best describes this species. An execellent metatarsal bone. Big and heavy. Excellent brown color and patina. This specimen has very good overall perservation. A complete specimen with some natural crushing on the rear side and minor crack fill. A high quality, collector's metatarsal bone from the Hell Creek of Montana. Excellent bone preservation. The Buena Vista Museum publishes a new and improved guide to the fossil sharks of Sharktooth Hill. This guide has been expanded to 35 pages and now includes color photos of all of teeth. A must have for the Miocene fossil collector of California. Great value!

An EXTRA LARGE and very RARE, MUSEUM QUALITY Stenaster sp. Starfish. This very high quality, extra large Starfish is 4-1/2" in length. Incredible detail. Incredible preservation and preparation. Matrix size is 11" x 12". Ordovician age - ~465 MYA. This rare Starfish is from the Hefalla Sandstone, Katouna Fm., Mecissi, Morocco. This is the real deal. No repair or restoration.  One of the highest quality EXTRA LARGE Starfish fossils that I have seen. This is a special specimen!

A very rare, early Otodus mugodzharicus upper jaw, lateral tooth from Aktulagay, western Kazakhstan. A transitional tooth leading to C. auriculatus (see detailed discussion below) which leads to Megalodon. A November Fossil of the Month.The bourlette is complete. Tooth exhibits "wavy serrated" edges similar to the Isurus escheri tooth. These teeth exhibit very good color, gloss, and preservation. A rare well preserved, Cave Hyena jaw section with three teeth (Crocuta crocuta spelaea) from the Yakutsk Region, Siberia. The Cave Hyena is also known as the Ice Age Spotted Hyena. These extra large hyenas lived in the mountain caves from central Europe to Russia. Excellent teeth with good color. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. You can own a rare and wonderful story piece from the Ice Age!

An Ultra Rare EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Tyrannosaurus rex tooth. Another August 2018 Fossil of the Month. This Rex crown measures 4-1/2" (straightline) and is thick (1-9/16") - a massive Rex tooth. The enamel is very high quality and a rich dark brown color. Good posterior and anterior serrations with a small amount of natural tip wear. An extra wide base. This is a big and heavy tooth. Note - this tooth was cracked in a freeze cycle as evidenced by the cracks in the top half of the tooth. The preparator did a exceptional job prepping this tooth and it is rock solid now. A small area of the cutting edge was rebuilt about midway on both the anterior and posterior sides (see final photo). Excellent overall condition for a big Rex tooth. A incredibly rare & special tooth! T-Rex was the apex during the late Cretaceous with massive teeth capable of crushing its prey.
