An ULTRA RARE Pachychephalosaurus wyomingensis skull section from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. A February Fossil of the Month. This is a post orbital skull section covered with 12+ spikes. Pachychephalosaurus is the dinosaur which is famous for its large domed head surrounded by these spikes and nodes. These spikes and nodes were part of the Pachy skull. This skull section has exceptional color and patina. Note the incredible blood grooves in the bone. It is a complete specimen with no cracks or breaks. Legally collected on private land in the Lance Creek Fm., Niobrara Co., Wyoming. A Rare Basilosaurus isis premolar tooth from Morocco. Basilosaurus was in the Basilosauridae family of early whales. Note - this tooth is a premolar with no wear and most of the root. This material is a new find and represents an early transition form of the whale which was a fully aquatic carnivore. No repair or restoration.
