A rare, TOP QUALITY Megatherium americanum sloth claw from an extinct genus of giant ground sloths from the Pampean region, Uruguay. A March Fossil of the Month. Megatherium is from the family of the largest Ground sloths. This claw has excellent preservation. It is complete down to an excellent tip with essentially no restoration or repair. There appears to be a 1.5” area of the top of the sheath rim on the back side that may have minor restoration (see photo - a small area). Excellent preservation of the proximal end. An ultra rare, Top Quality Parotodus benedeni (False Mako) shark tooth from the Crawford River Valley, Greenwald, Victoria, Australia. A May Fossil of the Month. Incredible color and preservation. Complete tooth. This tooth is Late Early Miocene (Upper Longfordian) from the Wataepoolan Limestone Fm.  A rare collector's Parotodus benedeni  tooth. No repair or restoration. A rare Top Quality, BIG CLASSIC Chile Megalodon tooth from the phosphate layer, Bahia Inglesa Fm., Caldera area, Chile. This tooth is nicely displayed on its original phosphorite matrix. Note - the pebbly phosphorite makes an interesting base which elevates the tip about 15 degress for a great display. A gorgeous light tan colored crown with no enamel peel. High quality enamel with very light mineral staining (as shown). The bourlette is an excellent deep mahogany brown color, large and 85% complete. The serrations are razor sharp and complete with an excellent tip serration. The root is rich red-brown color, extra wide (5") with excellent surface articulation, and 100% complete. Fantastic color. Exceptional "eye appeal". Great symmetry. No repair or restoration. A TOP QUALITY, 5-3/4" ULTRA RARE Caribbean Megalodon tooth - an upper jaw PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth. An October Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon tooth has an incredible creamy light tan colored crown with light charcoal patterns and a light tan bourlette. Highest quality enamel with no hydration cracks. Excellent color! The bourlette is perfect. The serrations are razor sharp including the good tip serration. Excellent serrations! The root is an excellent creamy tan color with no hydration cracks. Note - there was a saw cut to the root ends which was professionally repaired. Otherwise, a perfect tooth. This Megalodon was found in a limestone quarry in the Caribbean (Miocene age). A GEM, 5-1/4" Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth - ANTERIOR tooth. Our August 2017 Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an incredible light blue and tan colored crown with an exceptional mahogany brown bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Exceptional tan & light blue color! The bourlette is extra large and incredible with two shades of brown. The serrations are razor sharp with an exceptional tip serration. Exceptional serrations for a big Meg!
