A Top Quality Otodus sokolovi tooth from Harleyville, So. Carolina. Otodus sokolovi is the ancestor of O. auriculatus. An excellent anterior tooth. An excellent golden tan on tan colored crown with a brown colored bourlette, and a light tan colored root. Highest quality enamel. Fantastic color & preservation! The serrations are large and razor sharp including the tip. Two large side cusps. The root is complete and very well preserved. It is very hard to find these teeth in perfect condition. A very rare, EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Edestus heinrichi shark tooth, from Herrin, Illinois. This is a Paleozoic shark that lived in swamps that our now underground coal deposits. Excellent preservation, serrations, and serration detail. The Edestus shark would have an upper and lower tooth whorl that are vertically opposed. Research showed that they could use their opposing teeth in a scissor-like motion or a vertical whipping motion to cut prey. It is the first animal to cut vertically. A very strange looking and unique acting shark. Shark recreation image is credited to Julio Lacerdo. These rare teeth are Pennsylvanian age from Illinois. A rare TOP QUALITY, Great White shark transition tooth, Carcharodon hubbelli. A lower jaw anterior tooth with side cusps - a juvenile shark characteristic. This C. hubbelli tooth has small serrations at the base of the cutting edge that disappear towards the tip. A Top Quality, Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth - upper jaw tooth. This Megalodon has an incredible blue & tan colored crown with an excellent brown bourlette. Highest quality enamel.
