Triceratops Nasal Horn
A Top Quality Triceratops horridus nasal horn section from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek and Lance Creek formations which is know for three horns and the large frill protecting its neck. A complete nasal horn. This is an excellent nasal horn with good detail preserved. You can see the natural blood grooves around the surface of the horn and the skull bone is attached to the rear of the horn. The base of this horn shows great articulation of the skull bone. There is some crack fill and minor restoration (<10%). It comes with a sturdy custom steel stand as shown.
