Ptychodus polygyrus
This catalog contains very rare teeth from the largest of the Texas Ptychodus sharks, Ptychodus polygyrus - an early Hybodotid shark. These teeth were collected in the Eagle Ford group, Travis County, Texas (Turonian - 94 million years ago) and the Kamp Ranch formation). All teeth are complete and well preserved.

These massive teeth have a design with 8 to 9 fine transverse ridges extending across the cusp face and transition to a concentric pattern at the base of the cusp. Authenticity guaranteed. Perfect tooth. This is a rare species.
