Paraisurus macrorhiza

The Paraisurus macrorhiza is a extremely rare Lamnid shark. The tooth exhibits very long, slender roots with a very high protruding lingual root face, and a compact crown. The root of these these are very fragile and most specimens are collected without the root. Specimens with roots are exceedingly rare. These teeth is come from a lower Cretaceous site (Albian - 112 mya) in Kursk region of Russia. These teeth are well preserved.
