Cretolamna appendiculata

A classic Mackerel shark from the Eocene (approx. 55 million years ago). These teeth exhibit a very distinct "saddle shaped" root with heavy side side cusps. The teeth in this catalog are excellent examples and complete. Note - "Where it all started" - this species is thought to be the early ancestor of the Megalodon and is highly collectable. Have a look at the new teeth. These are the largest C. appendiculata teeth that I have ever seen. Extra large sized!
