Asteracanthus sp.

These Hybodus spines are quite rare. Most often they are removed from their desert home in sections and have to be put back together. The spine segments fit very nicely together and the "seems" may or may not be detectable in in the photos or in hand. Complete spines with no repair are extremely rare and very expensive!
