Chile Fossil Shark Teeth

Buried Treasure Fossils offers incredible shark teeth from the Caldera phosphate mining area of the Atacama Desert, near Copiapo in north central Chile. They date from lower Pliocene Bahia Inglesa Formation to the upper Miocene (approx. 4-6 million years ago). The shark teeth exhibit fantastic coloration, preservation, and condition. Being a land site, the condition and preservation exhibited by these shark teeth are nothing less than outstanding - some of the finest marine fossils known. "The Best of Chile" - See the largest selection of new museum quality Megalodon, Great White (World Record Size), Great White transition, Mako, Hexanchus, Megachasma, and many more species! The Chilean site contains one of the finest late Miocene-Pliocene marine fossils assemblages known. Authenticity guaranteed. Have a look!

Note - Unfortunately, the Chilean fossil area including the phosphate mining operation has been shut down to collecting since 2006. The entire fossil area is now a protected natural preserve. Chilean fossils must now be sourced from old collections. This situation is an incredible disappointment to many collectors. However, top quality Chilean fossils are still available in limited supply. BTFossils provides quality that you can trust!
