Chile Fossil Shark Teeth
Buried Treasure Fossils offers incredible shark teeth from the Caldera phosphate mining area of the Atacama Desert, near Copiapo in north central Chile. They date from lower Pliocene Bahia Inglesa Formation to the upper Miocene (approx. 4-6 million years ago). The shark teeth exhibit fantastic coloration, preservation, and condition. Also note that this is an ultra rare Carcharodon hubbelli with full serrations at the base of the cutting edge that transition to fine serrations at mid crown and disappear towards the tip. This ULTRA RARE, MONSTER sized Great White tooth measures 2-15/16" - a huge upper jaw PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth. This tooth is an ultra rare Carcharodon hubbelli with small serrations at the base of the cutting edge that disappear towards the tip. High quality enamel! Excellent color.
