    An ultra rare EXTRA LARGE, Classic Peruvian Megalodon tooth from the Ocucate area of Peru (Miocene age). An August Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an excellent brown & green colored crown. The bourlette is a tan & brown and 100% complete. The root is a light brown and complete with repair. Incredible color! Highest quality enamel. The bourlette is excellent and 100% complete. The serrations are extra large and razor sharp with a damaged tip serration. Excellent serrations for a big Meg! The root is nicely articulated and extra wide with no hydration cracks. Note - the left root corner was repaired. This Megalodon was found in the Ocucate area of Peru (Miocene age).  A fine near 6" example of a classic Peruvian Miocene Megalodon tooth considering the shape, color, and preservation. An excellent collector's tooth from the old days! Authenticity guaranteed. Super rare location!

    An ultra rare, Top Quality Red Site Carcharocles megalodon tooth from the Meherrin River, North Carolina. A September Fossil of the Month. NC003 has a rich copper-red color. Fantastic color! The enamel is the highest quality. The serrations are extra large, sharp and complete with a partially damaged tip serration. Bourlette is mostly dentin layer. The root is nearly complete. Definitely a Miocene Meg with grooves on the root lobes. Note - you rarely see a copper red colored Megalodon tooth that has a top quality crown and serrations and a complete root. No repair or restoration. An old collection piece from the rarest location to find a top quality Megalodon tooth - rarer than Chile, Peru, Bone Valley, etc. Authenticity guaranteed.   A fantastic color tooth.

These teeth exhibit classic Frill shark design with a central cusp flanked by two lateral cusps. The crown is complete and the root is complete. Note - all three crown tip ends were very neatly reattached without fill or gaps which is typical for a matrix free specimen. Crack lines are hard to see without magnification.
