A TOP QUALITY, very rare Basilosaurus cetoides, an Archaeocete whale tooth found in the Flint River, Georgia. An exceptional molar tooth (see photo for tooth positions). A July Fossil of the Month. An excellent green colored crown and brown root. Nicely articulated. Incredible preservation!  Note - the enamel tip shows absolutely no wear pattern on crown. Whales do not shed their teeth like the sharks so there teeth will wear with age. An ultra rare, Top Quality Edestus heinrichi, a complete whorl with three crowns from Herrin, Illinois. A July Fossil of the Month. This is a Paleozoic shark that lived in swamp that our now underground coal deposits. Exceptional preservation, serrations, and serration detail. The Edestus shark would have an upper and lower tooth whorl that are vertically opposed. Research showed that they could use their opposing teeth in a scissor-like motion to cut prey. It is the first animal to cut vertically with linear tooth whorls. A very strange looking and unique acting shark. This whorl is incredibly massive at 6" long with three crowns. The whorl body is well perserved with an excellent bright line of pyrite below the crown enamel. The crowns are large at 1-5/8" wide and look fantastic. Note - One crown tip has a small professional repair (~1/8") which is very common for a whorl. Pennsylvanian age from Illinois. Authenticity guaranteed. The Edestus shark recreation image is credited to Julio Lacerdo. These Edestus whorls are extremely rare. This whorl comes with a custon steel stand and  makes a fantastic display piece. My lowest price ever for a complete whorl!

A LARGE ultra rare, Top Quality Red Site Otodus megalodon tooth from the Meherrin River, North Carolina. This Megalodon is an excellent anterior tooth from the Meherrin River copper-red site. Exceptional rich copper red color. The enamel is the highest quality. The serrations are large, razor sharp, and essentially complete. Bourlette is extra large and mostly dentin layer. The root is nicely articulated and complete. A Miocene-Pliocene Meg tooth. A rare, 4-13/16", Top Quality Sharktooth Hill Megalodon tooth found in the Round Mountain Silt near Bakersfield, California. A location that produces very few Megalodon teeth and one of the toughest Megs to locate. This tooth was found in the Ernst West quarry. This Megalodon tooth has the top quality enamel with tan crown. The bourlette is a light brown color and mostly complete. The root is articulated and complete. The serrations are sharp with an excellent tip. This is a middle Miocene Meg. The right root tip was neatly reattached. A common occurrence at STH. No restoration. I don't see middle Miocene Sharktooth Hill Megs from Bakersfield, California very often. One of the rarest Megs! Authenticity guaranteed.

An ultra rare, LARGE Top Quality Alopias palatasi shark tooth, the extinct serrated Giant Thresher, from the Nottoway River, Virginia. A January Fossil of the Month. This is a Virginia Red Site tooth with excellent copper-red color. Excellent preservation and condition. Perfect serrations. A Miocene tooth. An EXTRA LARGE, very rare, GEM Quality Parotodus benedeni  tooth with a massive root from Ridgeville., So. Carolina. A Miocene-Pliocene age tooth from the Hawthorne Fm. Nice Tan color. Lateral tooth.
