A high quality Moroccan fossil collection including shark teeth, ray, fish and reptile teeth and vertebra mounted in a nice oak display frame. This fossil collection includes 21 types of fossils with a total of 48 fossils. Fossils include the giant Otodus shark, Myliobatus (Eagle ray), Mosasaurus, sea snake, and the giant Enchodus fish. These marine fossils come from the Khouribga area phosphate mines and date from Cretaceous to Eocene ages (70-45 million years ago). This is our large frame measuring 14" x 10" x 1-3/8". A scarce Top Quality, Isurus retroflexus, the Longfin Mako shark tooth (big upper jaw lateral tooth) from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. This tooth has a rich tan crown and a tan colored root. Excellent colors!  Sharp cutting edge. The rear top of root has a "shoulder" build up, a characteristic of Isurus retroflexus. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. It is a Miocene tooth from the Pungo River Fm. An excellent collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed. A difficult tooth to source.

A TOP QUALITY shark vertebra from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Exceptional condition and preservation. Incredibly defined ventral holes. This vertebara is an aseptate design and resembles a vertebra from Physogaleus. These vertebrae are rarely found and exceptional specimens are extremely difficult to obtain. These vertebrae were found in Miocene Pungo River Formation (15 million years old). Authenticity guaranteed.

A Top Quality Carcharodon hastalis, Broad-tooth "Mako", shark tooth - upper jaw anterior tooth from the "De Kuilen" sand pit, Mill, The Netherlands. This is a "Blue" layer tooth which are know for the highest preservation and best color - rarely seen outside of Europe. This tooth has excellent color and preservation. Sharp cutting edge. The age is late Miocene (approx. 6-8 million years ago). This species is the ancestor to the Great White shark and Carcharomodus escheri.. An excellent collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed.
