Otodus megalodon was the undisputed king of the Miocene - Pliocene seas (2-15 million years ago), and are found in the Miocene Pungo River Formation and Pliocene Yorktown Formation at the Lee Creek phosphate mine. Please note that Lee Creek produces Otodus megalodon and Otodus chubutensis teeth that are among the highest quality available, and exceptional specimens are exceedingly difficult to locate.
