A very rare, Otodus sokolovi upper jaw, anterior tooth from Kert, Mangyshlak, western Kazakhstan. A November Fossil of the Month. This location produces top quality teeth with brown colored enamel. The extra large bourlette that is complete. Nice extra coarse serrations and killer, large side cusps with very irregular serrations. The root is and complete.These teeth exhibit exceptional color, gloss, and preservation. Lower Schorym Formation - Bartonian - 40 MYA. This three tooth set includes upper jaw anterior teeth from Carcharodon hastalis, Carcharodon hubbelli and Carcharodon carcharias. The C. hubbelli tooth has small serrations at the base of the cutting edge, transition to very fine serrations at mid crown and disappear towards the tip. No repair or restoration. A rare EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Otodus sokolovi tooth from Boujdour, Western Sahara, Morocco. Enamel quality is excellent with an excellent large bourlette. The serrations are very sharp with a slightly damaged tip serration. The side cusps are complete with uniform serrations - (a younger sokolovi version). The root is massive and complete. A rare, Top Quality Otodus sokolovi tooth from the desert of Fayum Depression, Birket-le-Qurun, Egypt. A February Fossil of the Month. Excellent condition and preservation. No repair or restoration. Complete tooth. This tooth was found in the Qsar-el-Sagha Fm., and is late Eocene age (38-42 MYA). Authenticity guaranteed. I have never seen an Otodus sokolovi tooth from Egypt. A TOP QUALITY, LARGE very rare Parotodus benedeni tooth from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Lateral tooth. The crown has extremely sharp cutting edges. Excellent light tan color with a white root and bourlette. The root is ~11/16" thick and shows typical hydration cracks. This Parotodus tooth was found in the Yorktown Formation (Pliocene age).
