Fossil Leaves

Incredible leaf and insect fossils are found in eastern Utah and western Colorado. These fossils were deposited in the early Eocene Green River Fm. which is well know for high quality fish fossils in Wyoming. The species of leaves fouind indicate that the Eocene climate was much wetter and warmer than today.
