The bone pore structure is well perserved and gives the bone a wonderful natural "textured" look with different colorization. The Diplomystus dentatus is a Herring fish from the Eocene age (50 MYA) in the ancient Lake Gosiute deposit. These fossil fish are nicely preserved fossils.
