Allosaurus / Torvosaurus

An ultra rare Top Quality, LARGE Allosaurus fragilis hand claw (manus claw). A February Fossil of the Month. This Allosaurus manus claw measures 5-7/8". Good quality bone. Nice rich gray - brown color. Excellent overall condition. Tip restoration and minor crack fill. No restoration. Allosaurus was the apex predator during the late Jurassic. A very rare EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Torvosaurus tanneri  tooth from the Morrison Fm. A January Fossil of the Month. This Torvosaurus crown measures 2" and is 1-1/4" wide. The tooth measures 3-1/4" with the partial root. This is a BIG Torvosaurus tooth big serrations on both carinae (1.5 ser. per mm) and the mesial carina extends less than 1/2 of the crown. The enamel is high quality. Great rich dark brown color. Excellent anterior and posterior serrations. Minor natural crushing on the left bottom is stabilized. Excellent overall condition. There is minor restoration at the high point of the base of the crown.. Torvosaurus was the apex predator during the late Jurassic with large teeth designed to slash predators. An ultra rare, Top Quality Torvosaurus gurneyi tooth from the Jurassic (Kimmeridgian) of Portugal. A March Fossil of the Month. This is the 2nd Torvosaurus species with a complete crown measures 2". The enamel is highest quality. Excellent black color. Excellent extra large posterior and anterior serrations. Note - the anterior carina end about 2/3 of the way down from the tip. The diagnostic for a Torvosaurus tooth. Excellent overall enamel condition. A small tip repair (see UV photo). The serration reconstruction is exceptional. No restoration. A very rare Top Quality, Allosaurus & Camarasaurus toe bone from the Morrison Fm. These toe bones are complete, and they reside on an Allosaurus  vertebra neural section as originally found. The Allosaurus toe bone is 2-1/2" and the Camarasaurus toe bone measures 2-3/8" in length.
