An Ultra Rare, TOP QUALITY Spicomellus afer spike osteoderm from the earliest known Ankylosaur found in the Boulemane region of Morocco. An October Fossil of the Month.  An excellent spike with an incredible natural red color and patina. The surface quality is exceptional with no pitting, nicks or wear! Fully inflated. A "Flying" TOP QUALITY Walliserops trifurcatus trilobite, the "trident Comura".  A November Fossil of the Month and one of the collector's favorite spiny trilobites. Walliserops trifurcatus is an unusual looking species with three rows of of spines run down its back and a trident-like fork extending from the front of the cephalon. The preparation is German controlled with all original colors and no restoration. Exceptional completeness and preservation. Great natural black shell with excellent luster. The bottom of this trilobite has been cleaned out and it sits on an 1" matrix pedestal. A very difficult species to prepare. Excellent shell and spine preservation. Compound eyes are very good. An EXTRA LARGE (6-5/8"), Quality Carcharocles megalodon from offshore Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. A January Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon is a big upper jaw anterior tooth (A1). Great color. The enamel and serrations are very good quality. Bourlette is a dark brown (nearly black) color, extra large and mostly dentin later. The root is complete. No repair or restoration. This is a high quality BIG Atlantic Ocean Megalodon tooth from this offshore site. Authenticity guaranteed.
