A Top Quality, Triceratops horridus brow horn from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. An April Fossil of the Month. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell and Lance Creek Formations. This is an excellent horn with detail preserved with good color and natural patina. Great surface articulation. You can see the natural blood grooves around the surface of the horn. The preparation of the horn was fairly basic and simple with minor crack repair and minor restoration (<10%). It comes with the custom steel stand as shown. An ultra rare Top Quality, Stegosaurus plate. A February Fossil of the Month. This Stegosaurus plate is good sized and measures 17-1/2" wide x 13" high. The bone quality is exceptional with a black color. Excellent overall condition. There is limited crack fill, but there is no restoration. This is a large and all natural specimen. Stegosaurus was an iconic quadruped herbivore recognized by these plates lining its neck, back and tail during the late Jurassic. Legally collected on private land in the Morrison Fm., Bone Cabin Quarry, Albany Co., Wyoming. Authenticity guaranteed. A Top Quality Triceratops horridus nasal horn section from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek and Lance Creek formations which is know for three horns and the large frill protecting its neck. A complete nasal horn. This is an excellent nasal horn with good detail preserved. You can see the natural blood grooves around the surface of the horn and the skull bone is attached to the rear of the horn. The base of this horn shows great articulation of the skull  bone. There is some crack fill and minor restoration (<10%). It comes with a sturdy custom steel stand as shown. A rare, TOP QUALITY, Extra LargeTriceratops horridus hoof core (pes claw) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. A world class specimen. An April Fossil of the Month. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation which is known for three horns and a large frill protecting its neck. This adult hoof core has exceptional detail preserved and excellent color & patina. A WORLD CLASS size. Note -Triceratops hoof cores are generally smaller than Hadrosaur, have a very rugous surface, have a characteristeristic "shallow ledge" covering 40% of the under side, have less height than Hadrosaur, and are much more difficult to find. This hoof core has the correct features, is fantastically preserved, and has incredible size. One crack. No restoration. Legally collected on private land in Garfield Co., Montana. An ULTRA RARE Pachychephalosaurus wyomingensis skull section from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. A February Fossil of the Month. This is a post orbital skull section covered with 12+ spikes. Pachychephalosaurus is the dinosaur which is famous for its large domed head surrounded by these spikes and nodes. These spikes and nodes were part of the Pachy skull. This skull section has exceptional color and patina. Note the incredible blood grooves in the bone. It is a complete specimen with no cracks or breaks. Legally collected on private land in the Lance Creek Fm., Niobrara Co., Wyoming.
