An ultra rare, LARGE Top Quality Ankylosaurus osteoderm (bony armor plate) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. A January Fossil of the Month. Ankylosaurus magniventris was the largest Ankylosaur which grew to 30 feet and 17000 pounds, and a body covered with this bony armor. A complete body osteoderm plate from an adult Ankylosaurus with exceptional surface articulation. The bone is the best quality with excellent color and patina. A Top Quality Edmontosaurus annectens ulna bone (lower front leg or "arm" bone) from the late Cretaceous of North America. Edmontosaurus is a very large hadrosaur or "duck-bill" dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. They were mainly bipedal, but could walk on all four legs in search of food. This specimen is a excellent with some crack fill. Bone quality is excellent. No restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Garfield Co., Montana. Denversaurus schlessmani was the Nodosaur which grew to 20 feet and 6000 pounds, and a body covered with this heavy bony armor. Nodosaur armor plates are thicker than the Ankylosaur plates. A complete body osteoderm plate from an adult Denversaurus. The bone is excellent quality with excellent color / patina. No cracks or restoration. A rare Top Quality Camarasaurus metatarsal bone from the Morrison Fm. This juvenile Camarasaurus metatarsal measures 4-7/8". The bone is high quality. Excellent brown color and patina. Great overall condition with no restoration. Just basic crack fill. Camarasaurus was a medium-sized sauropod that lived during the late Jurassic. A very rare Top Quality Struthiomimus altus foot (pes) claw from the late Cretaceous of North America. Struthiomimus is a long legged, bipedal, toothless dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. The Struthiomimus means "ostrich mimic" which best describes this species. A Top Quality, Triceratops horridus toe bone (pes digit) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek and Lance Creek formations which is know for three horns and the large frill protecting its neck. This is an excellent toe bone with excellent detail preserved and good color / patina. This is the large toe I - digit 1 bone. You can see the "mushroom" appearance of proximal ends which is a characteristic of Triceratops and distinguishes it from a Hadrosaur toe bone. Triceratops bones are more difficult to find.
