A LARGE, rare Top Quality Tenontosaurus tilletti rooted tooth from an early Cretaceous basal iguanodontid dinosaur found in the Clovery Fm. Tenontosaurus was the primary prey for Deinonychus. It had robust leaf shaped teeth used to tear and grind coarse vegetation. The enamel is highest quality. Great dark brown color. Excellent enamel grinding surface. Minor crack fill. No restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Clovery Fm., Carbon Co., Montana. Authenticity guaranteed. A rare rooted collector's tooth. You don't see Tenontosaurus teeth very often. Note - this specimen includes a Riker diaplay frame.

Details

Camarasaurus is the most common sauropod of the late Jurassic period in the western US. This monster reached lengths of approximately 49-75 feet and reached weights approaching 50 tons. Their teeth are shaped like spoons to tear vegetation. A must have item for Jurassic dinosaur collectors. Fossil remains in teeth, bones, and claws. All of which are very rare and extremely difficult to locate. These top quality specimens were all legally collected from private lands in the northwestern US. Late Cretaceous, Morrison Fm., 155-145 MYA. Authenticity guaranteed.
