Please note that this tooth could Gorgosaurus or Daspletosaurus - see Detailed Discussion below. An October Fossil of the Month. This tooth measures 1-1/2" - an excellent Tyrannosaur  tooth. An EXTRA LARGE, pyrite replaced Paraspirifer bownockeri brachiopod from the Silica Shale Fm., Sylvania, Ohio. Brachiopods are bivalve molluscs, and this is a big one. Both valves present  - complete specimen and matrix free. Note -  1-1/2" thick and heavy! This is a Devonian (395 mya) brachiopod. The big Silica Fm. brachiopod.
