A very rare, Parotodus benedeni lateral tooth with a massive root from the Wando River, So. Carolina. A Miocene age tooth from the Hawthorne Fm. High quality enamel with sharp edges and a sharp tip! Root is complete, nicely articulated, and has a typical hydration crack. Acheroraptor temertyorum is one of two recently described Hell Creek Fm. raptors, and it is a close relative of Velociraptor. This tooth is 1/2" which is a large size. The enamel is excellent with a great brown color. Multiple prominent longitudinal "ribs" run the length of the crown. Excellent large posterior and small anterior serrations.
