An Extra Large, Top Quality Archimedes sp. bryozoan specimen from Adams Co., Illinois. A January Fossil of the Month. This bryozoan is shaped like and named after the famous Archimedes spiral. Excellent preservation. Note - 7/8" wide. This Archimedes bryozoan was found in the Warsaw Fm., and is Mississippian age (325 MYA). Authenticity guaranteed. Koneprusia dahmani is an unusual looking species with three rows of long spines run down its back. The preparation is German with all original colors and no restoration. Otodus pavlovi was the smaller Otodus shark species present in this early Eocene deposit. The side cusps are large and complete. Exhibits no serrations. A very rare, early Macrorhizodus nolfi upper jaw, anterior tooth from Aktulagay, western Kazakhstan. Macrorhizodus nolfi is a Lamnidae shark and an early Mako shark (Isurus praecursor) relative in this early Eocene deposit. These teeth exhibit very good color, gloss, and preservation. A rare, early Eocene Macrorhizodus nolfi tooth. No repair. A rare Carcharhinus macloti tooth, the Hardnose shark, from Sumatra, Indonesia. These teeth were deposited in the Telisa formation - a shallow marine environment during the middle Miocene (approx. 15 million years ago.) A very unique collector's tooth. A rare, Top Quality Megalodon - upper jaw anterior tooth from West Java, Indonesia - new site. This Megalodon has an excellent dark tan & light brown colored tooth with a vivid light tan & brown stripped bourlette. Highest quality enamel.
