A ~5" GEM JET BLACK colored Megalodon - lower jaw ANTERIOR tooth. An exceptional true black crown - not a charcoal gray color. Highest quality enamel - the surface is like glass! The large jet black bourlette is essentially complete. The large serrations are razor sharp with a good tip. The serrations are essentially complete - rare for a big Meg! The root has few hydration cracks and is complete. A GEM BLACK Meg tooth from the Miocene. A killer collector's tooth!

A GEM BLACK & BROWN colored Megalodon - upper jaw ANTERIOR tooth. An exceptional black and brown crown on the display side and mottled black and brown reverse. Razor sharp serrations and tip. The serrations are essentially complete with damage to one - rare for a bigger Meg! The root has no hydration cracks and is complete. An ultra rare, LARGE Top Quality Edestus heinrichi shark whorl with 7 big crowns, from Herrin, Illinois. An October Fossil of the Month. This is a Paleozoic shark that lived in swamps that our now underground coal deposits. Excellent preservation and serrations. This whorl is incredible teeth detail - the first 5 crowns are all natural and the the last two have some top repair. One of the finest whorls that I have had. The Edestus shark would have an upper and lower tooth whorl that are vertically opposed. Research showed that they could use their opposing teeth in a scissor-like motion to cut prey. It is the first animal to cut vertically. A very strange looking and unique acting shark. Shark recreation image is credited to Julio Lacerdo. These rare teeth are Pennsylvanian age from Illinois. Note - Two crown tips were professionally retored. Authenticity guaranteed. Seven plus crown whorl sections are ultra rare!  The BEST.

The March 2016 Fossil of the Month is a GEM light brown colored Megalodon - PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth. Highest quality enamel - glass-like with no hydration cracks! A very nice deep brown bourlette - 100% complete. Razor sharp serrations including an excellent tip serration. The serrations are 100% complete! The root is incredible - a medium brown, nicely articulated, and complete with no hydration cracks on the display side. One of the finest preserved Megs that I have seen. A Top Quality Ankylosaur osteoderm (bony armor plate) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Ankylosaurus and Denversaurus, a Nodosaur, were the two Ankylosaurs present in the Hell Creek and Lance Creek Formations.  A body osteoderm section from a juvenile Ankylosaur. The bone is excellent quality with excellent color and patina. No cracks or restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Carter Co., Montana. Authenticity guaranteed. A FANTASTIC polished display piece with two exposed EXTRA LARGE ammonites and an orthoceras. A third ammonite is also exposed when viewed from the top. All showing the intricate internal chamber structure.The rock matrix is a beautiful marble material and the Ammonite cavities are mineral filled! These ammonites and orthoceras are beautifully polished. This display measures  8"  x  14" and weighs 12 pounds. You rarely see top quality, extra large ammonites and Orthoceras in the same matrix block. An incredible, rarely seen display item!

An ultra rare, Top Quality upper jaw Hexanchus tooth - the Sixgill Cow shark, from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. This tooth has a rich blue & tan crown with a tan root.
