A TOP QUALITY, EXTRA LARGE & very rare Archaeocete whale, Zygorhiza kochii, from Harleyville, So. Carolina. Our 2nd November Fossil of the Month is a highly desirable Zygorhiza molar or "yoke" tooth.  An exceptional chocolate brown colored crown and tan root. The crown has fantastic articulation with incredible detail. Complete root. This tooth has minimal repair to tips of the 3 cusps on the left side only. Very little repair overall for a yoke tooth which are typically heavily repaired.  One of the BEST Archaeocete molars that I have seen from So. Carolina in a long time. A very rare collector's tooth. Museum Quality.  Note - 6" x 8" Riker frame included. One of my favorites!

"The Best of West Java".  An ultra rare, TOP QUALITY, Megalodon - upper jaw tooth from West Java, Indonesia - new site.  This Megalodon has an incredible West Java tan colored crown and an excellent red & orange colored bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Excellent color! The bourlette is 100% complete. The serrations are razor sharp with an excellent tip serration. Great serrations for a BIG Meg. The root is an light tan color and has shallow pitting on the non-display side which is common for these Megs. Miocene Age. No repair or restoration. Authenticity Guaranteed. A rare Indonesian collector's Meg tooth. An exceptional West Java color Meg!

A very rare, early Otodus mugodzharicus upper jaw, posterior tooth from Aktulagay, western Kazakhstan. A transitional tooth leading to C. auriculatus (see detailed discussion below) which leads to Megalodon. The bourlette is complete. Tooth exhibits very fine serrations along the inner curve of the crown only. These teeth exhibit very good color, gloss, and preservation. A rare, early Eocene Auriculatus transition tooth. A very challenging tooth to find when building a Megalodon evolutionary set! No repair. Authenticity guaranteed. Note - This western Kazakhstan site is one of the few places in the world where the Otodus to Auriculatus transition can be found in adjacent layers.
