An ultra rare, Top Quality Edestus heinrichi, a complete whorl with three crowns from Herrin, Illinois. A July Fossil of the Month. This is a Paleozoic shark that lived in swamp that our now underground coal deposits. Exceptional preservation, serrations, and serration detail. The Edestus shark would have an upper and lower tooth whorl that are vertically opposed. Research showed that they could use their opposing teeth in a scissor-like motion to cut prey. It is the first animal to cut vertically with linear tooth whorls. A very strange looking and unique acting shark. This whorl is incredibly massive at 6" long with three crowns. The whorl body is well perserved with an excellent bright line of pyrite below the crown enamel. The crowns are large at 1-5/8" wide and look fantastic. Note - One crown tip has a small professional repair (~1/8") which is very common for a whorl. Pennsylvanian age from Illinois. An EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Elosuchus cherifiensis crocodile tooth from the Kem-Kem region of Morocco. Incredible detail and red color. A very rare, Top Quality Anchiceratops ornatus epoccipital (frill ornament) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Anchiceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Horseshoe Canyon formation which has three horns and a large frill protecting its neck. This epoccipital has excellent detail preserved and great color / patina. The epoccipitals were triangular bone ornaments that lined the top of the frill.  Note - this epoccipital  position is naturally asymmetrical  (see 2nd photo of right side). This epoccipital exhibits incredible detail and is very thick & heavy. Nearly complete specimen with minor crack fill. No repair or restoration. Legally collected on private land in Alberta, Canada. Authenticity guaranteed. Disposition number 000028-0000029.

A Top Quality Megalodon tooth from Georgia. A MArch Fossil of the Month. The crown has excellent Blue color. The enamel is the Highest Quality with very small hydration cracks. An BLACK colored bourlette which is mostly complete. Razor sharp, extra large serrations including an excellent tip serration. The root is a charcoal color, nicely articulated, and complete. This tooth has extra large root end grooves and the base of the serrations has two unique pathologies (possible Chubutensis? (see close up photos) Traits of a Miocene age Megalodon tooth. An ultra rare GEM QUALITY, Classic Peruvian Megalodon tooth from the Ocucate area of Peru (Miocene age). A January Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an excellent dark tan colored crown. The bourlette is light tan and 100% complete. The root is a light tan and complete. Incredible color! Highest quality enamel. The bourlette is excellent and 100% complete. The serrations are extra large and razor sharp with an excellent tip serration. Exceptional serrations -100% complete! The root is nicely articulated with a very small hydration crack. This Megalodon was found in the Ocucate area of Peru and is Miocene age.  No repair or restoration.
