A LARGE, Top Quality Chubutensis tooth - an upper jaw tooth from So. Carolina. Otodus chubutensis or Chubutensis is the extinct ancestor of the Megalodon shark. An excellent Charcoal Gray colored crown. High quality enamel. The black bourlette is complete. Sharp serrations are sharp with a slightly worn tip serration. The root is black colored and complete. Note the small cusp-like bumps at the base of the cutting edge and the grooves on the sides of the root ends - both are Chubutensis characteristics. No repair or restoration. A rare, Top Quality Triceratops horridus rooted tooth from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Another July 2018 Fossil of the Month. Triceratops is a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. The enamel is excellent quality with excellent color / patina. Extra large root which is quite rare. Incredible preservation of the crown and root that shows their intricate detail. The chewing surface measures 1-1/14” with a very high ridge. This is a recently erupted tooth that has slight tip wear. No cracks or restoration. A rare rooted, extra large Triceratops tooth! Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Carter Co., Montana. An excellent collector's quality Triceratops tooth. A TOP QUALITY, EXTRA LARGE & very rare Archaeocete whale, Zygorhiza kochii, from Harleyville, So. Carolina. Our 2nd November Fossil of the Month is a highly desirable Zygorhiza molar or "yoke" tooth.  An exceptional chocolate brown colored crown and tan root. The crown has fantastic articulation with incredible detail. Complete root. This tooth has minimal repair to tips of the 3 cusps on the left side only. Very little repair overall for a yoke tooth which are typically heavily repaired.  One of the BEST Archaeocete molars that I have seen from So. Carolina in a long time. A very rare collector's tooth. A very rare, colorful GEM Quality Tyrannosaurus rex  tooth. This tooth measures 2-1/16".  A June Fossil of the Month. The enamel has an exceptional two-tone color and patina (see Photos #2 & 3).  Incredible natural gloss. Exceptional mesial and distal serrations. Base cross-section is a tall oval. A very rare,Top Quality Anzu wyliei finger from the Hell Creek Fm. of SE Montana. Anzu is referred to as the "Chicken from Hell", a large Hell Creek Fm. oviraptor. This is the 2nd finger with a non-assciated manus claw and digit. The manus claw is top quality with some crack fill. Excellent rich brown color and patina. All surfaces are fantasic - very rare. This is top quality, collector's Anzu finger from the Hell Creek of Montana. A rare, Top Quality Brachylophosaurus  tail ungual (toe claw) from the late Cretaceous (Judith River Fm.) of North America. Brachylophosaurus is a mid-sized hadrosaur or "duck-bill" dinosaur found in the Judth River formation. Bone quality is excellent. Note - the distinctive ventral ridge is located on the base of the ungual. One crack. No restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Judith River Fm., Hill Co., Montana.
