A Top Quality Cretodus crassidens, an extinct Mackerel shark, tooth from Denton Co., Texas. An excellent example of this Lower Cretaceous Eagle Ford Fm. tooth. These massive teeth have a design that includes a large / heavy root with high root face, a narrow crown width, and broad side cusps. This is the big shark tooth in Texas Cretaceous deposits which can reach 2.6". This is a lateral tooth with perfect side cusps. Authenticity guaranteed. Perfect tooth. A Top Quality Tyrannosaur tooth from the late Cretaceous (Campanian) in northern North America. An October Fossil of the Month. Please note that this tooth could Gorgosaurus or Daspletosaurus - see Detailed Discussion below. This tooth measures 2-3/8" - an excellent Tyrannosaur tooth. The enamel is high quality with excellent color. Anterior serrations and posterior serrations are excellent. Serrated to the tip. Note - the top has some minor planting etching and there is one natural wear facet on the side (very typical for the Campanian Tyrannosaurs). No cracks, repair or restoration.
