An ultra rare, Thalassocnus, a Swimming Sloth, manus (hand) claw from the Bahia Inglesia Formation, Copiapo, Chile. A May Fossil of the Month. This sloth lived on the west coast of So. America during the late Miocene age. This claw is a near complete with minor erosion along the upper edge and back end. Both areas have minor restoration. Fantastic color and preservation. Authenticity guaranteed. I have not seen a swimming sloth claw for sale before. This is all of the sloth material that I have from 15 years ago! A rare collector's claw. An Ultra Rare nicely prepared, Struveapis sp. trilobite. A new phacopid trilobite with diagnostic characteristics including schizochroal eyes with fewer facets, a broader cephalon, and a smoother exoskeleton. An excellent specimen with good detail and completeness. The preparation is German directed with all original colors and no restoration. Great natural black with good luster. Oneecompound eye is exceptionally preserved. A TOP QUALITY, Classic Lee Creek Chubutensis tooth - upper jaw ANTERIOR tooth. Highest quality enamel. Excellent color! The bourlette is excellent and perfect. The serrations are razor sharp, near perfect, with an excellent tip serration. Excellent serrations - razor sharp! The root is an excellent light tan color with essentially no hydration cracks, very wide, and absolutely complete. Also note the interesting small side cusps - a Miocene Megalodon predecessor trait.
