A Top Quality Ptychodus mortoni, an extinct durophagous (shell-crushing) shark, tooth from Dallas Co., Texas. An excellent example of this Upper Cretaceous Eagle Ford Fm. tooth. These  teeth have a design that includes a high cusp with radiating occlusal ridges extending across the cusp face. Authenticity guaranteed. P. mortoni is a rare species in Texas, and when teeth get this large they are extremely rare!

A Top Quality Ptychodus polygyrus, an extinct durophagous (shell-crushing) shark, tooth from Dallas Co., Texas. An excellent example of this Upper Cretaceous Arcadia Park Fm. tooth. These massive teeth have a design with 8 to 9 fine transverse ridges extending across the cusp face and transition to a concentric pattern at the base of the cusp. Authenticity guaranteed. Perfect tooth. This is a rare species.

The "Flying" Top Quality Crotalocephalina gibbus trilobite. A January Fossil of the Month. The preparation is German directed with all original colors and no restoration. Great natural greenish shell with an excellent patina. The specimen is fully exposed and very nicely displayed on a pedestal of the original matrix. A  very rare, Top Quality Parotodus benedeni  tooth with a massive root from the Summerville, So. Carolina. A Miocene-Pliocene age tooth from the Hawthorne Fm. Nice tan color. Lateral tooth. High quality enamel with sharp edges and  tip. Root is complete, thick (7/16"), nicely articulated, and a typical hydration crack. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. A very difficult tooth to locate from a rare location.

A rare, incredibly preserved LARGE Asterocidaris bistriata, a fossil club echinoid (urchin). The specimen is fully inflated, nicely articulated, and complete with long spines - a very aesthetic display. These “Club” echinoids on matrix include some composite spines/radioles from their species. This fantastic echinoid is middle Jurassic period from from Boulemane, Middle Atlas Mts., Morocco. A gorgeous Quenstedticeras lamberti ammonite from the Saratov region of Russia. Incredible pyrite replaced ammonite with a crystal lined interior. This ammonite has natural irredescent crystal colors - very nice. Excellent pyrite crystals!  Middle Jurassic age. Authenticity guaranteed. Note - supply of these pyrite ammonites stopped in 2011. This is the last of my inventory.

An EXTRA LARGE, High Quality Ankylosaurus osteoderm (bony armor plate) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. An August Fossil of the Month. Ankylosaurus and Denversaurus, a Nodosaur, were the two Ankylosaurs present in the Hell Creek and Lance Creek Formations.  A complete body osteoderm plate from an adult Ankylosaurus. The bone is excellent quality with excellent color / patina. Some natural crack. No restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Lance Creek Fm., Niobrara Co., Wyoming. Authenticity guaranteed. A collector's quality Ankylosaurus osteoderm. I do not see large ostederms very often. Note - Osteoderm weighs 1.5 lbs.
