A Top Quality Ankylosaurid ungual from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Ankylosaurids had their body covered with this bony armor. This is a ungual (hood core) from a juvenile Ankylosaurid . The bone is excellent quality with excellent color and patina. No cracks or restoration. A well preserved Glyptotherium scute from the ACE Basin, So. Carolina. The Glyptotherium  was an oversized armadillo with a thick shell that was a close relative to the Glyptodon. It evolved in the early Pliocene and became extinct at the end of the Pleistocene in North America. This is a scute is complete with some wear. Well fossilized. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed.
