The enamel is the highest quality with hydration cracks. The serrations are sharp and complete with a great tip serration. Bourlette is dark brown and mostly dentin layer. The root is complete. A Top Quality, rare Triceratops horridus epijugal (jugal spike) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek and Lance Creek formations which is know for the large frill protecting its neck. Triceratops had a spike on its cheek which is called the jugal "spike" (see photo). This jugal spike has exceptional detail preserved and great color / patina. A Top Quality, Triceratops horridus jaw section (maxilla section) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation which is known for the large frill protecting its neck. This is a great jaw section with excellent detail preserved and excellent color / patina. You can see the four complete tooth channels which are approximately 5/8" wide which is a characteristic of Triceratops and distinguishes it from a Hadrosaur which is closer to 1/4" wide. A rare EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Edmontosaurus annectens hoof core (toe or pes ungual) from the late Cretaceous of North America. An August Fossil of the Month. Edmontosaurus is a very large hadrosaur or "duck-bill" dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. This is a toe hoof core from a massive Edmontosaurus. It is from the center toe - toe III. The largest one that I have seen! The Edmontosaurus was bipedal and had much larger feet relative to hands. Bone quality is excellent. No repair or restoration. A Top Quality Lambeosaur (Parasaurolophus) maxilla from the late Cretaceous (Judith River Fm.) of North America. An April Fossil of the Month. This is a complete upper jaw containing 100s exposed teeth. Parasaurolophus is a lambeosaur (crested) hadrosaur or "duck-bill" from the Judith River Formation in Montana. The maxilla possessed 100s teeth that were in rows of teeth which acted as conveyor belt to maintain a chewing surface to cut and grind their food. Bone quality is excellent. A rare Top Quality Triceratops horridus occipital condyle from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation which is known for three horns and the large frill protecting its neck. This is a beautiful 3-3/4" occipital condyle with excellent detail preserved. This large codyle has fantastic color and patina plus a large section of braincase is attached. Note - The occipital condyle was the connection point of the Triceratops massive skull to the vertebrae column, and it allowed for maximum rotation of the head. No repair or restoration.
