An exceptionally preserved, fossil dog jaw (Canis familiaris). This is a complete lower jaw with ten teeth from Austria. An October Fossil of the Month. This early dog is from the La Tene period (Younger Iron Time) and is 2300 years old during the Roman Period. Dogs were domesticated from the wolves by man for hunting & protection. An excellent examples of rare Great White transition teeth, C. hubbelli (newly described in 2012). Note - this group exhibits extremely sharp pointed crowns. P345 has very fine serrations. P346 has "escheri type" faint wavy serrations.

A GEM Quality, rare Triceratops horridus upper beak (rostal) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. A July Fossil of the Month. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek and Lance Creek formations which is know for three horns and a large frill protecting its neck. This juvenile upper beak has exceptional detail preserved and great color / patina. Complete specimen. Note - Triceratops has a beak formed by this upper rostal bone and the lower predentary bone. No repair or restoration. 100% natural specimen. Legally collected on private land in Powder River Co., Montana. Authenticity guaranteed. You rarely see these upper beaks and this one is exceptional.

A very rare, Otodus obliquus tooth from the copper-red site of No. Carolina. The crown has no serrations. Typical Otodus side cusps. Complete root. Early Eocene - Ypresian age. A very rare collector's tooth. Very few Otodus teeth found at this site!
