This tooth is nicely displayed on its original phosphorite matrix. Note - the pebbly phosphorite makes an interesting base which elevates the tip about 15 degress for a great display. A gorgeous light tan colored crown with no enamel peel. High quality enamel with very light mineral staining (as shown). The bourlette is an excellent deep mahogany brown color, large and 85% complete. The serrations are razor sharp and complete with an excellent tip serration. A natural Hoploscaphites nebrascensis ammonite with excellent preservation of the shell material. This ammonite species exhibits big ribs with multiple rows of tubercles (nodes). This specimen is sits on an original Pierre Shale with a flat base for a great display. This ammonite is from the upper Cretaceous, Pierre Shale Fm. of So. Dakota. Authenticity guaranteed. An expertly prepared, rare GEM quality Thysanopeltis speciosa trilobite. A November Fossil of the Month. A very uniquely designed trilobite. The preparation is German with all original colors and no restoration. Great natural brown and black shell with excellent luster. The eyes are compound under magnification, but this species does not have a deep facet design. A Middle Devonian (380 mya) trilobite from the Djebel Issoumour, Alif area, Atlas Mts., Morocco. A Top Quality Ptychodus latissimus, an extinct durophagous (shell-crushing) shark, tooth from Ellis Co., Texas. An excellent example of this Upper Cretaceous Atco Fm. tooth.
