A Top Quality, Classic Lee Creek Megalodon upper jaw tooth. This Megalodon has an incredible light tan colored crown with an excellent brown bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Exceptional color!  The serrations are razor sharp with an excellent needle-like tip serration. Serrations are just about 100% complete (1 with minor damage). The root is an excellent tan color with small hydration cracks and absolutely complete. This Megalodon was found in the Pungo River Formation, Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina (Miocene age = 14.5 MYA). An excellent tooth from the old days at Lee Creek mine! No repair or restoration. An exceptionally preserved, fossil dog jaw (Canis familiaris). This is a complete lower jaw with ten teeth from Austria. An October Fossil of the Month. This early dog is from the La Tene period (Younger Iron Time) and is 2300 years old during the Roman Period. Dogs were domesticated from the wolves by man for hunting & protection.
