An EXCELLENT  Striatolamia shark teeth - antero-lateral position from the copper red site. Good preservation and condition - extra sharp edges and tip. These are Eocene age from the Castle Hayne Fm., Hertford Co., NC.  

NC462             SIZE: 1-1/8"

A very rare, early Otodus aksuaticus lateral tooth from Kzil-Orda, Kazakhstan. A transitional tooth leading to O. auriculatus (see detailed discussion below) which leads to Megalodon. The bourlette is complete. This tooth exhibits small serrations along the lower 1/3 of the crown and micro serrations to the tip. These teeth exhibit excellent color, gloss, and preservation. A rare, early (Ypresian) Eocene Auriculatus transition tooth.  A very challenging tooth to find when building a Megalodon evolutionary set! No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. This western Kazakhstan site is one of the few places in the world where the Otodus obliquus to Otodus auriculatus transition can be found in adjacent geologic layers.

A rare, TOP Quality Megalodon - upper jaw anterior tooth from West Java, Indonesia - new site. This Megalodon has an excellent tan colored crown with a gorgeous golden tan colored bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Great color!  The bourlette is large and complete. The serrations are razor sharp and complete with an excellent "needle-like" tip serration. Excellent  serrations. A rare Carcharhinus plumbeus tooth, the Sandbar shark, from Sumatra, Indonesia. These teeth were deposited in the Telisa formation - a shallow marine environment during the middle Miocene (approx. 15 million years ago.) A very unique collector's tooth. A rare, Top Quality Classic Red Site Carcharocles megalodon from the Meherrin River, North Carolina. This Meg is an incredible upper jaw anterior tooth. An April Fossil of the Month. NC002 has an incredibly rich copper-red color. Fantastic color! The enamel is the highest quality with exceptional gloss. The serrations are large and 100% complete with a perfect tip. Bourlette is brown and 80% complete with minimal dentin layer exposed. The root is completeand nicely articulated. A very well preserved tooth.
