A GEM, Lee Creek Carcharocles chubutensis, a C. megalodon predecessor, from Aurora, No. Carolina. This tooth was given the name the "Oreo Chub" with its black and white bourlette. Very rare colors for Lee Creek. A May Fossil of the Month. This tooth was found in the Pungo River Formation (middle Miocene age). Note the crown exhibits large cusplike bumps at the base of the serrated edge and the root ends also show grooves where the teeth interlocked. These are characteristic traits of the Lee Creek early Meg - C. chubutensis. A gorgeous tan &  blue colored crown with an incredible black & white bourlette. Fantastic serrations with a nearly perfect with damage to one. The root is dark brown with small hydration cracks. Highest quality enamel! Excellent color! No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. I have only seen one LC Chub like this one -  the "Oreo Chub" is a Lee Creek rarity!

This Megalodon has an excellent brown colored crown with mottled brown color shades and an excellent gold & brown colored bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Fantastic color! An ultra rare, 5-3/4" Top Quality Red Site Carcharocles megalodon from the Meherrin River, North Carolina. The "Jaguar" Megalodon tooth. A May Fossil of the Month. This Meg is a BIG upper jaw anterior tooth from the Meherrin River copper-red site. NC001 has an incredible black and copper-red colored crown. Fantastic color! The enamel is the highest quality. The serrations are extra large and essentially complete with a big tip serration. Incredible serrations for a BIG Megalodon tooth. Bourlette is extra large, dark brown and 98% complete.The root is complete with very small hydration cracks. Definitely a Miocene Meg with serration bumps at base and groove on the root end sides. Note - there is a small area of restoration with the enamel of the non-display side in the center just above the root. A HUGE, High Quality Tyrannosaurus rex tooth from a very large adult Rex. A June 2020 Fossil of the Month. This massive Rex crown measures 4-9/16" (straight up) or 4-7/8" (straight line) or 5"+ (on curve) and has a big root (2" Wide). The enamel is good quality with some root etchings and natural cracks. Good brown color. The serrations are worn, but visible. The tip is good. Cracks are stabilized with some crack fill. No breaks - possibly one. A natural tooth from a BIG Rex! Note - most teeth of this size that you see are heavy restored and sometimes two teeth are put together! This tooth has original enamel from tip to base. One giant crown. T-Rex was the apex during the late Cretaceous with massive teeth capable of crushing its prey. See the detailed description to determine how to tell a real T-Rex tooth! A very rare, Otodus aksuaticus tooth from the copper-red site of No. Carolina. The crown has coarse serrations over the lower 2/3 of crown that disappear in the top 1/3 of crown. The side cusps are typical of the Otodus obliquus. Complete root. Early Eocene - Ypresian age. A very rare collector's tooth. Very few Otodus aksuaticus teeth found at this site!
