A Top Quality, Pathologic Bone Valley Mako shark tooth from Polk County, Florida with great color! Commonly referred to as Isurus hastalis, but renamed to Carcharodon hastalis as a Great White shark ancestor. A High Quality Carcharodon hastalis, Broad-tooth "Mako", shark tooth - lower jaw anterior tooth from the "De Kuilen" sand pit, Mill, The Netherlands.  This tooth has good color and preservation. Sharp cutting edge. The age is late Miocene (approx. 6-8 million years ago). This species is the ancestor to the Great White shark and Carcharomodus escheri. An excellent collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed.
