An ultra rare, Top Quality Tyrannosaurus rex tooth - a large Rex tooth with a partial root (not a shed tooth). An August Fossil of the Month. This tooth measures 2-3/4".  The enamel has exceptional color and patina. Excellent anterior and posterior serrations. The serrations are large and wrap around the tip. This tooth was recently erupted and had no tip wear. No hydration cracks or breaks. Note - the root section is 1-1/4"+ and with a wall that is nearly 1/4" thick. Not likely a shed tooth breaking that deep below the gum line. 100% natural tooth. A top quality tooth! T-Rex was the apex during the late Cretaceous with massive teeth capable of crushing its prey. "Flaming Red Auric"  A very rare, EXTRA LARGE Auriculatus lateral tooth with a tan crown and a gorgeous, highly articulated red colored root. The bourlette is red colored, extra large, and nearly complete. The serrations are very nice -  large, razor sharp, and complete. Massive side cusps.  Incredible preservation -  among the finest you will see with an Auriculatus. The only challenge with this tooth is the left root corner broke during extraction and was reattached. The repair work is very well done and very hard to detect (no filler).   These Peruvian Aurics are very rare.

An EXTRA LARGE, High Quality Ankylosaurus osteoderm (bony armor plate) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. An August Fossil of the Month. Ankylosaurus and Denversaurus, a Nodosaur, were the two Ankylosaurs present in the Hell Creek and Lance Creek Formations.  A complete body osteoderm plate from an adult Ankylosaurus. A Top Quality Edmontosaurus annectens lower jaw section from the late Cretaceous of North America. An August Fossil of the Month. Edmontosaurus is a very large hadrosaur or "duck-bill" dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. They possessed ~300 teeth that were in columns of five teeth each which acted as conveyor belt to maintain a large chewing surface to cut and grind their food. This specimen is a large section of the lower jaw showing at least 20 teeth still in place. Bone quality is excellent with no cracks. No restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Powder River Co., Montana. A exceptional specimen from one of my favorite localities.
