A LARGE Top Quality, Carcharodon hastalis,  Mako shark tooth (upper anterior jaw tooth) from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Note - This tooth exhibits the classic characteristic shape of the middle Miocene Mako teeth found both in the Lee Creek mine and the NC red site. I do not see this Mako tooth shape from other Miocene deposits. Possibly a hastalis species variation and it is referred to as the "narrow form". Maximum size is approximately 2". This tooth has a rich  blue crown and a brown colored root. Excellent colors!  Razor sharp cutting edge. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. It is a Miocene tooth from the Pungo River Fm. An excellent collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed. A perfect "Pungo" hastalis tooth.

A rare, Top Quality Anzu wyliei caudal (tail) vertebra from the Hell Creek Fm. of Montana. Anzu is referred to as the "Chicken from Hell". An excellent vertebra. Excellent light brown color and patina. This specimen has excellent perservation. Note - the open cell structure of this theropod vertabra. Also note the large pneumatic fossa on the sides - an Anzu vertebra trait. There is a segment of tendon fossilized with this vertebra. A rare, TOP QUALITY Megatherium americanum sloth claw from an extinct genus of giant ground sloths from the Pampean region, Uruguay. A March Fossil of the Month. Megatherium is from the family of the largest Ground sloths. This claw has excellent preservation. It is complete down to an excellent tip with essentially no restoration or repair. There appears to be a 1.5” area of the top of the sheath rim on the back side that may have minor restoration (see photo - a small area). Excellent preservation of the proximal end. A rare TOP QUALITY, Isurus retroflexus tooth, a Longfin Mako, from the Meherrin River, No. Carolina. Upper jaw anterior tooth. Excellent copper red color with exceptional gloss. A Top Quality Abelisaurid dinosaur tooth from the Cretaceous Kem Kem deposits of Morocco. Once thought to be a "raptor" tooth, it is now clear that these teeth are Abelisaurid, a family of Ceratosaurian theropod dinosaurs with the unique straight posterior carina. They were the dominate smaller theropod in the late Cretaceous Kem Kem deposit. Excellent red color and serrations. Excellent preservation. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. A fantastic Abelisaurid tooth.  Note - Based upon recent discoveries, there is a large Abelosaurid in the Kem Kem. The 1"+ Abelosaurid teeth may belong to this large species.
