An EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Ankylosaurus osteoderm (bony armor plate) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Ankylosaurus magniventris was the largest Ankylosaur which grew to 30 feet and 17000 pounds, and a body covered with this bony armor. A complete body osteoderm plate from an adult Ankylosaurus. The bone quality is excellent with excellent color and patina. This osteoderm has a high ridge on one side. There are some hydration cracks and crack fill. No restoration. An ULTRA RARE Pachychephalosaurus wyomingensis skull section from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. A February Fossil of the Month. This is a post orbital skull section covered with 12+ spikes. Pachychephalosaurus is the dinosaur which is famous for its large domed head surrounded by these spikes and nodes. These spikes and nodes were part of the Pachy skull. This skull section has exceptional color and patina. Note the incredible blood grooves in the bone. It is a complete specimen with no cracks or breaks. Legally collected on private land in the Lance Creek Fm., Niobrara Co., Wyoming.
