A rare, Top Quality ~5" CLASSIC Chile Megalodon tooth from the sand layer, Bahia Inglesa Fm., Caldera area, Chile. A March Fossil of the Month. An excellent light tan colored crown with no enamel peel. Good quality enamel. The bourlette has a nice mahogany brown color and is 100% complete. The serrations are sharp with some damage. The root is excellent tan color and extra wide with a small sliver of damage on the side of the root. Good "eye appeal". Great symmetry. No repair or restoration. A Top Quality, "Picture Tooth" Megalodon tooth - an upper jaw tooth from the Broad River,  So. Carolina. An excellent Charcoal Gray with light Gray "clouds" colored crown. Highest quality enamel. The bourlette is a gorgeous black color and 95% complete. The serrations are extra large and sharp with a decent tip and nearly formed small humps at the base. The root is charcoal color, nicely articulated, and complete with root ears & root lobe indentions. This is definitely an earlier Miocene age tooth. No repair or restoration. A TOP QUALITY, Lee Creek Carcharocles chubutensis, a C. megalodon predecessor, from Aurora, No. Carolina. A posterior tooth. This tooth was found in the Pungo River Formation (middle Miocene age). Note the crown exhibits large cusplike bumps at the base of the serrated edge and the root ends also show grooves where the teeth interlocked. These are characteristic traits of the Lee Creek early Meg - C. chubutensis. A gorgeous tan colored crown with an excellent brown bourlette. Great serrations.
