An Extra Large, Top Quality Chilean Hexanchus griseus tooth from the Caldera Basin of Chile. This is an extra large upper jaw parasymphyseal tooth with a single primary cusp. Excellent preservation and fantastic color. Perfect cusp. These tooth was found in the Bahia Inglesa Fm. and is late Miocene to early Pliocene age. A Pathologic, Top Quality Chilean Hexanchus griseus tooth from the Caldera Basin of Chile. This is an upper jaw tooth with three primary cusps, but it should have had 5 cusps. Two cusp did not form. Excellent preservation and fantastic color. Perfect cusps. These tooth was found in the Bahia Inglesa Fm. and is late Miocene to early Pliocene age. An ULTRA RARE Top Quality, 6-1/4" Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth - upper jaw PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth. A February Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an incredible light tan colored crown with brown bourlette, and light tan root. Highest quality enamel. Fantastic color!  The serrations are razor sharp and essentially complete including an excellent tip serration. Incredible serrations for a BIG Megalodon tooth. The bourlette has a nice contrast -  mostly dentin layer. The root is nicely articulated and complete with an excellent light tan color. It is also wide (4-5/8") with essentially no hydration cracks. This Megalodon was found in the Yorktown Formation, Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina (Pliocene age = 4.5 MYA). An excellent BIG collector's tooth from the old days at Lee Creek mine!
