Two Top Quality Scyphocrinites elegans crinoids from Alnif, Morocco. The Scyphocrinites crinoid was a floating variety which was attached to a holdfast air bladder that supported multiple stems and calyx ("flower"). This crinoid has a bulbous calyx with incredible detail. These crinoids have good sized stem sections of 2-1/4" and 3-1/2". These crinoids make fantastic display pieces. Museum Quality specimen. A very rare, Otodus auriculatus tooth from the copper-red site of No. Carolina. The crown has coarse serrations. The side cusps are typical of the Otodus obliquus. Complete root. A LARGE, well preserved egg shell pieces from Gastornis, an extinct Giant Flightless Bird, from southern France. This giant bird stood over 6 feet tall with a giant skull and beak. A very unique shell design. These egg shell pieces are typical size with a shell thickness of 1/8"+. They are early Eocene age shells and were found in Aix Basin, Provence, France.
