An ultra rare Top Quality Carcharodon hastalis, Broad-tooth Mako, shark tooth - upper jaw anterior tooth from the Bahia Iglesa Fm. of Chile. An April Fossil of the Month. This tooth has a brown, blue & charcoal crown and a brown root. Excellent color! Razor sharp cutting edge. Extra wide root (2-5/16"). Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. A Top Quality Tyrannosaurus rex tooth from a small adult Rex. This Rex crown measures 2" (straight line) and is nicely exposed in its original Hell Creek Fm. matrix. The enamel is highest quality. Great rich dark chocolate brown color. Good anterior serrations (mostly covered) and exceptional serrations on the posterior side. There is a very small wear facet on the tip which is typical for a adult tooth from opposing teeth wear. Two cracks have been stalibized. No repair or restoration. A 100% natural tooth! Fantastic overall condition with incredible serrations for a large Rex tooth. Note - This tooth exhibits the classic characteristic shape of the middle Miocene Mako teeth found both in the Lee Creek mine and the NC red site. I do not see this Mako tooth shape from other Miocene deposits. Possibly a hastalis species variation and it is referred to as the "narrow form". Maximum size is approximately 2". This tooth has a rich  blue crown and a tan colored root. Excellent colors!  Razor sharp cutting edge. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. A RARE, Top Quality Dakotaraptor steini (raptor) tooth. A near or small adult specimen. Dakotaraptor steini is one of two recently described Hell Creek Fm. raptors. An August Fossil of the Month.
