Isurus hastalis (Cosmopolitodus hastalis)

In stock

An EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality, Broad-tooth Mako shark tooth from So.Carolina. Commonly referred to as Isurus hastalis, but renamed to Cosmopolitodus hastalis as a Great White shark ancestor. An October Fossil of the Month. Highest quality enamel. A very glossy Blue & Gray colored crown with small hydration cracks. Great color! Exceptional cutting edges with no dings. An exceptional root – very wide and no small hydration cracks. This is one of the widest roots that I have seen with a lower jaw tooth - a BIG Mako shark! Great symmetry. No repair or restoration. An exceptional collector's Mako tooth! Museum Quality. Authenticity guarantee.
