An ultra rare, Top Quality Tyrannosaurus rex tooth - a large Rex tooth with a partial root (not a shed tooth). An August Fossil of the Month. This tooth measures 2-3/4".  The enamel has exceptional color and patina. Excellent anterior and posterior serrations. The serrations are large and wrap around the tip. This tooth was recently erupted and had no tip wear. No hydration cracks or breaks. Note - the root section is 1-1/4"+ and with a wall that is nearly 1/4" thick. Not likely a shed tooth breaking that deep below the gum line. 100% natural tooth. A top quality tooth! T-Rex was the apex during the late Cretaceous with massive teeth capable of crushing its prey. A Top Quality, Triceratops horridus brow horn from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. A February 2021 Fossil of the Month. Triceratops was a large ceratopsian dinosaur found in the Hell Creek and Lance Creek formations. This is a special horn with exceptional detail preserved and exceptional color / patina. You can see all of the natural blood grooves around the surface of the horn. The preparation of the horn was fairly basic and simple - some cracks filled and a small area around the tip was restored. A very rare EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Torvosaurus tanneri  tooth from the Morrison Fm. A January Fossil of the Month. This Torvosaurus crown measures 2" and is 1-1/4" wide. The tooth measures 3-1/4" with the partial root. This is a BIG Torvosaurus tooth big serrations on both carinae (1.5 ser. per mm) and the mesial carina extends less than 1/2 of the crown. The enamel is high quality. Great rich dark brown color. Excellent anterior and posterior serrations. Minor natural crushing on the left bottom is stabilized. Excellent overall condition. There is minor restoration at the high point of the base of the crown.. Torvosaurus was the apex predator during the late Jurassic with large teeth designed to slash predators.
